The pop up vegan burger grill
Truth be told, I never had too much of an interest in creating recipes - that is, until I came across the diverse world of vegan cooking. Already a passionate vegan, I began to discover and experiment with new Asian meat alternatives, paying particular attention to ingredients such as Tofu, Tempeh, Natto, Seitan and Jackfruit to create our 'meats.' And so, Seitan's Grill was born, and our menu continues to grow each year. In fact, there's not a lot of meats we wont try to replicate - so if you're reading this and think "challenge accepted," make sure to send me an email!
But it wasn't just the excitement at developing delicious, new recipes that drove me to set up Seitan's Grill. I grew up with a lot of summer BBQs, mainly because it was the only thing my dad knew how to cook! So when I finally learned the truth about the negative impact eating that sort of food was having on both myself and the environment, it made me change my diet pretty much instantly. But it took a good year before I was no longer making slip ups - it was always the accidental non-vegan ales that caught me out, so keep an eye on the labels!
We use only the finest organic ingredients, and the freshest local produce to create our homemade vegan alternatives to junk food classics - so there’s something for everyone on our ever-evolving menu. From our Seitan Patty to our Mac ‘No’ Cheese’, we guarantee to please. Whether your event is a private function, music festival or street food market, our team will serve with friendliness and flair.
When we launched, I knew I wanted to work with charities as much as we could. Whilst there's an enormous community spirit within veganisn, the sanctuaries are always in need of help. That's why we're proud to work with Dean Farm Animal Sanctuary, who provide the public with information on the use of animals in factory farming as well as the sobering realities of the meat and dairy industries. Not only do they provide valuable information,, but Mary and her team also do a fantastic job of protecting the animals in their care. If you ever spot us at an event, please feel free to take one of their promotional flyers for their summer events. .
We aim to cause the least amount of harm to the environment as possible. As such, all of our packaging is either recyclable or fully compostable. Whilst there is currently no known product available to vacuum seal food that is both compostable and fully recyclable, as the UK packaging industry develops we will aim to be at the forefront of these innovative changes to ensure we're always minimising our impact on the environment. .
